Kudos Hub (kudoshub.app) is a free community project run by an individual. That person decides how your data is used and is responsible for it. Contact: hello@kudoshub.app.
We collect as little as we can to run the site. We do not sell data, show ads or use tracking cookies.
Questions or requests about your data? Email hello@kudoshub.app.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares with us. We never receive your Google password.
- Your kudos: the service, the practitioner's name and Instagram handle, where it happened (area, place name, optional Google Maps link), the highlights you picked, your text, the optional price range and visit timing, how you want your name shown, and any photos. Photos are resized on your phone and their location data is removed before upload.
- Sign-in and security data: your sessions (including IP address and browser type), one-time sign-in codes, and short-lived request counters per IP address that stop abuse. Before sending a code, Cloudflare Turnstile checks your browser for signs of automated bots.
- Information about practitioners: names, Instagram handles and places where they work, as submitted by reviewers.
- On your device: a sign-in cookie, and an unsent kudos draft kept in your browser so you don't lose it.
2. How we use it
- to create your account and sign you in, including emailing you sign-in codes;
- to publish and display kudos and practitioner pages;
- to check kudos after they are posted, and to prevent spam, fake kudos and abuse;
- to answer your messages and requests.
We do not send marketing emails. We use your data because it is needed to provide the site you asked to use, and because of our legitimate interest in keeping it safe and genuine.
3. Automated screening
After a kudos is posted, its text and any photos, together with the practitioner's name and service, are checked by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude, running on Amazon Web Services in the European Union) for complaints, contact details, medical claims, offensive content and spam.
The check only helps the person who runs the site find kudos worth looking at. It never hides or removes anything by itself; removing a kudos is always a person's decision. Amazon Web Services does not use this content to train AI models.
4. What is public
Published kudos are public, together with the practitioner's details, the area, the highlights, and the name you chose to show (your first name, your initials, or "Verified client").
Your email address is never shown publicly. The person who runs the site can see which account wrote each kudos.
5. Who we share it with
Only with the service providers that run the site for us, and only as needed:
- Cloudflare: hosting, database, photo storage and bot checks (data stored in Western Europe);
- Google: sign-in, if you choose "Continue with Google";
- Resend: sends the sign-in code emails;
- Amazon Web Services: automated screening of kudos (European Union);
- Google Fonts: serves the site's fonts, so it receives your IP address.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of others.
6. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored mainly in the European Union, outside Egypt, with providers that use industry-standard security. By using the site, you agree to this transfer.
7. How long we keep it
- Your account: until you ask us to delete it.
- Your kudos and photos: until you or we delete them.
- Sign-in sessions: up to 60 days. Sign-in codes: 10 minutes. Abuse counters: minutes.
- Backups may keep deleted data for a short period before it is erased.
8. Your rights
Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020), you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how it is used. Email hello@kudoshub.app from the address on your account, and we will reply within 30 days.
Practitioners can ask us to correct or remove information about them in the same way.
9. Children
Kudos Hub is not for anyone under 16, and we delete accounts we learn belong to someone younger. Users aged 16 or 17 must have their parent or legal guardian's consent.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version. We will point out significant changes on the site.
11. Language and contact
This policy is available in English and Arabic. If the two differ, the English version prevails.
